Product Description
Villa Rosso, produced for the first time by Niccolò Antinori, father of Piero Antinori, in 1928, was the first Chianti intended to age and improve over time. In 2001, Piero Antinori inaugurated a new phase for the wine, which became a Tuscan IGT (typical geographical indication) wine produced exclusively from a selection of the finest grapes of the house’s proprietary vineyards. The design of the label remained fundamentally unaltered from 1928 on, with only slight modifications first in 1990 and then in 2001.
