Product details
A Champagne-style cuvée, an assemblage where wines from different years are blended to produce this legendary cava. It was brought to the public in 1987, to mark the occasion of the visit of the King and Queen of Spain to Freixenet. This is one of the very few cavas produced with a real cork, which is reminiscent of the early years of the house. This causes the cava to undergo a special evolution throughout the course of its ageing, over more than 30 months, and requires an entirely manual production process. It is always produced as a brut, dosage with 4 g/l of sugar and wine aged for eight months in chestnut barrels. A different, yet classic product. Just like a fine wine, it is a harmonious companion to any hearty meal.
