Product Description
Brunello di Montalcino Vallocchio is a subtle wine that allows for a greater sense of depth and complexity once the bottle has been opened and rested for a while. Initially, the bouquet is closed (no surprise here because the wine is so young). I came back to my sample a few hours later and discovered more prominent mineral notes of campfire ash and flint that blended nicely with the tonic and delicate fruit. This wine sneaks up on you but delivers nice surprises in the end. Some 12,000 bottles were produced.

This delivers aromas of cherries and plums followed by earthy tones, licorice, dried floral and a lovely savory edge. This continues to impress with its wonderful finesse, excellent structure and beautiful fine silky tannins, which possess a lovely inner sweetness and caress your palate all the way through the long pretty finish.
