The elder citizens of Chardonnay, located not far from Tournus, will tell you that their village provided the name for thefamous Burgundian varietal. All that is certain is that the word “Chardonnay” comes from the Latin “Cardus” which means“thistle,” the spikey plants that grow particularly well on limestone soils. Chardonnay is a village with excellent limestone. Amagnificent wine, with an explosive bouquet, indulgent, guided by the natural energy of the terroir.

Excellent minerality with an outgoing profile of honey and citrus fruits. A very elegantly crafted white wine and full of finesse. Very seductive nose full of pink grapefruits, yellow plums, white flowers, and some wet pebbles; delicious and fruity without noticeable acidity or bitterness on the palate, ripe citrus fruits, licorice, and a touch of salty minerals; medium to long finish showing mostly citrus fruits and light wood spices.
