A wine Made from Montepulciano 100%, Made from old vines across the specially selected sites amongst the 1200 hectares that belong to this co-operative. Red ruby with garnet highlights. Intense and persistent, a spicy aroma with hints of chocolate and tar but never to dominate over its copious fruit. Good structure, good tannins and well-balanced. Best served with: good with rich main courses, typ- ical Abruzzo’s salami and with roasted and stewed meat.

Modern and innovative, this winery is committed to high quality and respect for the land and its residents. It is based around 800 growers, 2 highly skilled agronomists, a top class technical team, and a state of the art winery in the Abruzzo region of Italy. With its unique microclimate and lush greenery, the region is exceptional for vines, and it shows in the fine wines produced. The Co-operative is special in the way it operates by paying the growers according to the size of their land rather than annual crop, the yields are kept lower, pushing the quality higher. ‘Yume’ means Dream in Japanese, representing the wineries goals, and also that of the local community which it supports. We are thrilled to welcome this wine direct to the UK at our Cornish Wine merchants, and now online also.
The 'Yume' Montepulciano D'Abruzzo is a superb wine made with 100% Montepulciano, Made from old vines across the specially selected sites amongst the 1200 hectares that belong to this co-operative. Deep garnet in colour, the 'Yume' Montepulciano D'Abruzzo has touches of spice and liquorice, alongside black fruit flavours and full bodied tannins. Utterly delicious.
