ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Based in the Colchagua Valley just south of Santiago, Vina Casa Silva as a winery was re-established in 1997. It was done so my Mario Silva a fourth generation descendant from one of Chile’s oldest winemaking dynasties.
From the original vineyard site and winery in Angostura, new sites have been found and planted in Los Lingues, Lolol and Colchagua’s first coastal estate at Paredones. With the inception of the “Microterroir Project” and also the “Carmenere Clone Project” now fully underway, the future is incredibly bright for Vina Casa Silva.
Vina Casa Silva has been inundated with wine awards since it first put its wines into competitions in 2000 and can quite confidently say that it is indeed the most awarded winery in Chile.
We're huge fans of Casa Silva wines at Whitmore & White. We think these are some of the best value wines in our entire range.
