Castello Colle Massari Lombrone Sangiovese Riserva
A complex and full-bodied red wine with notes of menthol, bay leaf, black cherries, prunes and currants. The longer it is decanted, the more its aroma is revealed, so that in time hints of candied fruit and fragrant roses are discerned. Tannins are dense and velvety and tightly embrace the intense aromas.

VINIFICATION
A wine which originates from a selection of grapes from the best Sangiovese vineyards on tuff, loam, limestone and marly soils at an altitude of 300 m. The vineyards are organic and this method of cultivation means small yields of only 60 quintals per hectare. Grapes are picked manually and the alcoholic fermentation takes place in small conical wooden containers the caps of which are turned and must fermentation takes longer. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 40 hl-oak barrels, in which the wine continues to age for at least a further 18 months. Finally, the wine ripens in bottles for at least another 12 months.
