True to its vintage, this is forward and fruity, showing an ample ripeness. At the same time, it's underlined by a piercing core of chalky minerality, turning more tense and pointed on the long, fragrant finish. It's an excellent version of this cuvee, and a fine successor to the brilliant 2008.

True to its vintage, this is forward and fruity, showing an ample ripeness. At the same time, it's underlined by a piercing core of chalky minerality, turning more tense and pointed on the long, fragrant finish. It's an excellent version of this cuvee, and a fine successor to the brilliant 2008. The Mineral cuvee is blended from two adjacent vieilles vignes (50+-year-old) parcels of similar, chalky, grand cru terroir on the border between Avize and Cramant. The fruit from Les Champboutons in Avize is fermented in tank, while the component from Bionnes in Cramant is vinified in 600-litre oak casks. This is always the most salty, racy, mineral wine in the Agrapart range. Dosage is 5g/L and the 2009 spent some 60 months on lees.
