Chateau Bonnet Reserve
Chateau Bonnet is one of Bordeaux’s consistently reliable wines. Vignobles André Lurton are committed to making wines that are both fullbodied and balanced, like this Reserve cuvee, which typifies classic Bordeaux. Its faultless pedigree is revealed in its elegant balance, depth and charm.
Appareance
Very intense purple with crimson tints.
Nose
The initial impression on the nose is vanilla, closely followed by an intense panoply of oaky aromas. The ripe fruit appears gradually, delicate at first then more powerful after agitation.
Mouth
Opulent, smooth and silky upfront, but the tannic concentration is right there, unusually for this level in the range, a testament to the quality of the vintage and the skill of the teams at Bonnet. The finish is as long as it is full-flavoured. A wine to grace the most exalted cellar, before accompanying veal roulades or undercut of beef with shallot confit.
