OVERVIEW
Château Côtes de Chambeau has been a family-run property for three generations. It is located to the North of the Montagne appellation, close to the Lussac border. The vineyard was taken over by Alain and Christophe Baudet, who inherited it from their father, around 2000s.

Soil : Chalky-clay / Surface : 8 hectares
Average age of the vineyard : 20 years
Location : The vineyard is located to the North of the Montagne-SaintEmilion appellation and in the commune of Lussac-Saint-Emilion.
Grape varieties : 90 % Merlot / 10 % Cabernet Franc
VINIFICATION
Classical vinification in thermo-regulated concrete and stainless steel vats after a period of pre-fermentation maceration. Possibility of microoxygenation. Maceration for 20 to 25 days. Punching on the cap for Cabernet Franc grapes. Vertical pressing.
WINE TASTING
Brilliant garnet colour. Powerful, slightly spicy nose of wild fruits. Few vanilla and toasted notes can even be detected in some vintages. Initially clean, powerful palate of ripe fruit. A great deal of weight. A full bodied, structured finish showing very good balanced and fine tannins.
