Chateau Graves de Pez Saint-Estephe
The nose offers notes of crushed strawberry, wild raspberry and more slightly vanilla essence combined with fine hints of liquorice and a very discreet hint of sweet blond tobacco. The palate offers freshness, juiciness, minerality and good definition. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, pulpy/juicy red berries and more slightly of lily, combined with touches of racy minerality, nutmeg and a fine hint of vanilla essence.

Château Graves de Pez is the result of the work of Paul and Paulette Bussier, two passionate winegrowers from an old Cognac family (winegrowers since 1911). In 1960, at the request of the Tesseron family, they moved to Saint-Estèphe to take charge of Château Lafon-Rochet (4th Growth). For 35 years they managed this great estate and acquired a few parcels for themselves. Both of them are passionate about wine. Due to lack of time, they do not vinify themselves and take their grapes to the cooperative cellar. They had only one dream, to have their own cellar and bottle the Château Graves de Pez themselves. In 2002, Paul Bussier passed away and his children took over. Maxime Saint-Martin was only 21 years old when he decided at the end of 2008 to buy the vineyard from his uncle. In 2009, he left the cooperative cellar and did his first harvest with the help of oenologists Jacques and Eric Boissenot, under the benevolent eye of his father, a winegrower in Lamarque (Château Vieux Gabarey - Haut-Médoc - Cru Artisan).
