Rauzan-Segla (Rausan-Segla) has a wonderful bouquet of dark red brambly fruit, sandalwood, sage and cloves—aromatics that convey a sense of warmth and homeliness. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannin on the entry; there is truffle-infused black fruit, sea salt and a healthy pinch of spice, leading to a refined, almost Pomerol-like finish.

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Rauzan-Ségla rocks up with vibrant notions of cherry pie, warm cassis, blackberry preserves and red roses with hints of cinnamon stick and cloves.
