Since Robert de FERRAN, lawyer at the Parliament of Bordeaux, who gave his name to this exceptional vineyard, passing by MONTESQUIEU, philosopher winemaker and owner of the estate in the 18th century, this terroir has never ceased to produce red and white wines stamped at the time “First serious Martillac”. Close to classified growths, in a natural setting of 70 hectares divided between vines and forest with hundred-year-old trees, this property has belonged to the same family since 1880. Philippe and Ghislaine LACOSTE, the fifth generation, have been running this cru since 1999.
