Chris Ringland North Barossa Shiraz
Vigneron Adrian Hoffmann and winemaker Chris Ringland have been working together for more than 25 years to develop the Hoffmann Vineyard signature labels; Reservation Shiraz, North Barossa Shiraz, Dimchurch Shiraz and Hoffmann Vineyard Shiraz.
The North Barossa Shiraz is a blend from 12 growers around the Ebenezer sub-region in the North of the Barossa. Neighbours, friends and relatives of the Hoffmann Family make up the group, many having tilled the land for three or more generations.
Extended maturation sees the wine aged in 20% new & 80% seasoned oak for up to 4 years, the 2016 receiving 45 months prior to blending and bottling under cork.

Chris Ringland, owner and winemaker of namesake wines, Ringland Vintners, uses fruit
from his own small Stone Creek Chimney Vineyard, in the Barossa Ranges of Southern
Australia. The vines there are nearly 100 years old. Yields are miniscule-one ton an acre-and
production is correspondingly low, 60 to 100 cases a year. Ringland is known as a maverick
Shiraz producer and is also known for his former winery, Three Rivers.
