Rich, layered and vinous, but never heavy, the Blanc de Noirs Pur Meunier speaks to grace above all else. The flavors are distinctly floral and savory, while the fruit lies more in the background. Hints of dried pear, brioche, dried herbs and flowers meld into the gracious, mid-weight finish. This is an especially understated wine from Christophe Mignon. The current release is equal parts 2013 and 2012 vintages, bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: February 2016."

Sourced from a vineyard located in the communes of Festigny and Le Breuil. Blend of parcels planted in 1976. Clay-limestone with traces of chalk. 60 cm of topsoil with layers of Tuffe underneath. Blend of biodynamics, phytotherapy, homeopathy and geobiology. One person cares for one hectare-extremely high ratio by Champagne standards. All fruit is hand-harvested. Parcels vinified separately in inox and apoxy lined tanks. Bottling dates chosen by lunar calendar, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle. Each terroir is conserved separately before blending.
