Deutz are based in Ay, just down the road from Bollinger, but their temperament inclines to a more elegant, ethereal style of wine. This is especially evident in their outstanding Rosé, and this in spite of the fact that it is made only from Pinot Noir, with 8% added as red wine by assemblage.
