Domaine Du Vieux Telegraphe Les Pallières Terrasse Du Diable Gigondas AOC
The Châteauneuf-du-Pape red 2016 du Vieux Télégraphe is located on the terroir of Crau which marks the wines of a very particular minerality. Le Vieux Télégraphe 2016 presents elegant notes of black tea infusions, liquorice and freshness. Full-bodied but silky, Vieux Télégraphe wine is more powerful and richer than Piedlong, but it is just as elegant and fine.

From the most northerly reaches of the appellation, in the lieux-dits of Poncet, this 90% Grenache noir, 5% Mourvèdre, 5% Clairette blend comes from parcels at an altitude of 250-400 meters from a very steep 62 acre vineyard with an average vine age of 45 years. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, then released at 2 years. When young, the “Terrasse du Diable” cuvée has the minerality, freshness and sometimes overbearing tannins of high-lying terroirs. The best vintages can age for more than 20 years. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
