"The regular 2016 Scharzhofberger Kabinett (AP #02 14; the auctioned Kabinett Alte Reben I could not taste as yet) offers a clear, dense, fresh, spring-like, floral/herbal and lime-scented bouquet of purity, intensity, and finesse. On the palate the discreet sweetness is almost completely integrated into the filigreed, mineral texture with its pronounced yet delicate acidity and the crisp, just ripe and yet not fully developed fruit. This lean, yet multilayered 8.5% alcohol Kabinett tastes rather medium-dry than sweet and this impression will intensify over the years.
