Inama Oratorio Di San Lorenzo Carmenere Riserva Colli Berici DOC
The area of the Oratorio di San Lorenzo is a small valley surrounded by an unspoilt nature, a mystic place where monks lived in the past. The first vintage of this wine, 2004, expresses already what we expected: The uniqueness of a grape (100% Carmenere) that in the Colli Berici produces emotions which cannot be repeated elsewhere.
The microclimate in this area is unique. The vineyard, is affected positively the influence of the adjacent forest, which gives organic substances like limestone and clay and gives origin to important temperature gaps. The area is often hot during the day and fresh at night.
The Carmenere has a unique story to tell: Our most exclusive wine to present to customers.
In 2009 Inama launches the new DOC: “COLLI BERICI D.O.C. CARMENERE RISERVA” with the label Oratorio di San Lorenzo: Inama is the only winery to have a unique project on the Carmenere in Europe.

Characteristics
100% Carmenere Riserva. Selection, only in the best vintages, of the best grapes in our Carmenere vineyard, at the Oratorio di San Lorenzo. 18 months in mostly new barriques. Low yields: average of 40 hl per hectare. Biological viticulture.
Label
The latest version of this label by Michela Coltro unites 17th century characteristics, typical of the style of the other labels, with a drawing of the Oratorio di San Lorenzo, a small Romanic church built approximately in the XI-XII centuries. This building, probably the oldest church in the Colli Berici, overlooks the Carmenere vineyard where the grapes are grown and selected for our Reserve, which became DOC Colli Berici Carmenere Riserva with the 2009 vintage.
