L'Enclos du Chateau de Saint Pey
At a few minutes from Saint-Emilion, in the municipality of Saint Pey d'Armens, the Castle of Saint-Pey extends over 20 hectares. North to south, the property opens onto a large 2 hectare park which suggests the first parcels of vineyard and offers an exceptional visual quality of its wine heritage. Part of the castle dates from the sixteenth century and served as dwelling house. The other building, reserved for the cellar opens to the tasting room.
The vineyard of Grand Cru appellation, covers 17 hectares and has 30 plots fragmented, located on different soil types, and offering, a diversity of terroirs. Located partly in the communes of St-Pey d'Armens and St Hippolyte, the vineyard has an average age of 40 years. Earth, vital component of the region, offers a sandy and sandy clay soil. Each plot is worked according to its characteristics. 80% Merlot - 15% Cabernet Franc -. 5% Cabernet Sauvignon
