The Brunello di Montalcino Fornace emerges from a site next to Mastrojanni's Schiena d'Asino. The Fornace shows the warmth and breath of Castelnuovo in its dark fruit. Hints of licorice, mocha, tobacco, spices and leather develop in the glass as the wine opens up. This is an especially big, full-bodied Brunello with tons of depth. At times the alcohol is a bit noticeable, no doubt a reflection of the year in this southern part of Montalcino.

Vinification:
Oak: 36 months in large 25hL Slavonian vats.
