The Vosne Romanée appellation represents 105 hectares including 13 in Flagey-Echezeaux. There are a total of 14 Premiers Crus and 7 Grands Crus. « Les Chaumes » is located right under « Les Malconsorts » and the Grand Cru « La Tâche ».
Wine making
This premier cru is vinified in open vats (destemmed grapes) during about 4 weeks. The wines are then aged in oak barrels for about 18 months.
