Barbaresco is without doubt another feather in the cap of Italian winemaking. For us, it represents a dream come true.
The soil in the Barbaresco production zone offers us a very special expression of the Nebbiolo grape. These vineyards yield delicate and elegant wines with exceptional balance and finesse. The resulting expression is highly alluring and captivating.
Barbaresco is without doubt another feather in the cap of Italian winemaking and, as far as we are concerned, it represents an extraordinary project that had been in our minds for years. At long last, at the end of 2018, we were lucky enough to find some perfectly located vineyards, giving us the chance to fulfil our long-cherished dream.

The Massolino 2020 Barbaresco is slightly closed at this young stage and needs a little more time in bottle. You do get soft cherry and wild cassis with crushed stone and blue flower. It just needs more time to come together.

An effusive style, this red boasts crunchy cherry, raspberry and mineral flavors, accented by flashes of white pepper and underbrush. Delicate, yet with the requisite structure to develop for a decade or more. Best from 2025 through 2040.

Vinification and ageing:
Traditional Barbaresco, with medium fermentation and maceration in oak vats at a temperature of around 30°C; aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for up to 18 months, followed by bottle ageing in special cool, dark cellars.
