Castello di Brolio is created from a meticulous selection of the best Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and petit Verdot grapes from the estate’s vineyards, spread over 230 hectares of land. The production of each vintage may thus vary in quantity, but quality is always outstanding. The vineyards are at 250 to 450 meters above sea level, facing south/south-west. The perfect exposure and excellent elevation of the land as well as the very stony soil are responsible for the typicality of this wine.

One of the estate's most important and successful bottles, the Barone Ricasoli 2020 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castello di Brolio is plump and rich with warm-vintage layers of blackberry, juicy cherry, spice and soft earth. It ages in tonneaux for 22 months, of which only 30% is new oak, yet that is more than enough to impart savory tones, soft tannins and rich textural support to this full-bodied Sangiovese.

Bright and floral on the nose with orange blossom to the vivid sliced cherry character. Medium body, with ultra-fine tannins that are supple and caressing. Gorgeous cooked peach pie and cherry aftertaste.
