The Cabernet glass is perfect for full-bodied, complex red wines that are high in tannin.
The generous size of this glass allows the bouquet to develop fully, and smooths out the rough edges. It emphasises the fruit, playing down the bitter qualities of the tannin, and allows wines to achieve balance. As part of the Performance series, this shape was re-developed in 2018 for better aromatics. High Performance was named for its design and functionality, with sky-high 32.5cm stems for ultimate elegance.
These glasses feature the iconic optical impact first released in the RIEDEL Performance series, which deliver a better aromatic experience. The High Performance glasses are unique works of art that give any setting, whether party or dinner, an exclusive touch.

The name of this glass series says it all, representing high performance in functionality and design.
RIEDEL High Performance comes with four different stems - clear, red, black or gold – which are affixed with meticulous care at the RIEDEL factory in Kufstein, Austria. The black stem is made entirely in black crystal, while the other stems are only coloured in the centre then coated with a transparent layer. With a height of 32.5cm/12.75in, the RIEDEL High Performance glasses are truly eye-catching. The series are works of art that give any setting, whether party or dinner, an exclusive touch.
The collection also features the iconic optical impact first released in the RIEDEL Performance series, which deliver a better aromatic experience. Following numerous international tastings, RIEDEL’s optical effect bowls proved to deliver a perfect "performance" and receive top ratings.
The series includes four shapes: Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Riesling, and Champagne Glass. As each glass is the same height, they create aesthetic unity on the table.
