Sieur d'Arques Premiere Bulle Rose No.1 - Brut

A salmon rose robe with copper and silver nuances. The very fine bubbles form a creamy string.  The nose offers a fruity base, lightly smoked with citrus fruit aromas plus a zest of orange, gooseberry, raspberry and peach. On aeration, the notes of ‘English sweets’ gives it a lovely extra dimension. In mouth, flavours of red fruits, freesia and a finish once again dominated by a refreshing zest.

Premiere Bulle translated to English “The First Bubble”, celebrating the creation of the first ever sparkling wine miraculously produced by monks in the small township of Limoux in the South of France. Unlucky is the new lucky. These monks were then succonded by Dom Perignon to voyage to Champagne to assist in developing what is now one of the most prestigious Champagnes in the world. The producer of this exceptional wine is Sieur D'Arques who, may we add, took out the French Winery of the year award. Ahem…if you don’t mind!
