Tarapaca Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon
This Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is from northeast-facing vineyards that enjoy abundant sunlight and cool afternoon breezes, this allows for a wide variation in temperature. At night, the temperature can drop by as much as 22ºC compared to the daytime peak.
Due to the marked thermal oscillation between day and night during the grapes' maturation this wine has ripe, fruity and complex aromas of plum, blackberry and cassis, with subtle notes of bay leaves. Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, it has notes of cloves, black pepper and vanilla. The influence of the soil (angular stones, and loamy-sandy texture) is evident in this wine's good structure and medium body with soft and round tannins. The mineral soils of volcanic origin also aid in achieving a deep and balanced wine.
