Vina El Principal

Winery was founded in 1993 by partners Jorge Fontaine Aldunate, owner of the El Principal estate, and Jean Paul Valette, French winemaker and former owner of the famous Premier Grand Cru Classé Château Pavie in Saint-Émilion. Main goal was to produce a line of wines of the highest quality that would reflect the spirit and typicity of Chilean terroir, as well as the Valette family’s tradition and experience of making fine wines. It gained international recognition as one of Chile’s ultra premium wines, reinforcing Chile’s potential as a denomination of origin for high-end wines.
