รายละเอียดสินค้า
The best bunches from vines older than ten years, are set aside for drying and producing Amarone. A combination that symbolizes Dal Forno Romano Philosophy. The unique complexity of this wine is such that merely describing it as a "meditation wine" falls well short of the mark. Its scent is a masterpiece, is taste a work of art. Vanilla. Sour black cherries. Blueberries. Chocolate. Truffle, tobacco and leather. Amarone is a delight in its own right. However, it will be a classy complement to any game meat dish.

97 points Wine Advocate

The ultimate statement wine from northern Italy is the 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Monte Lodoletta. The Dal Forno family skipped over the 2014 vintage, and this sunny vintage is worth the wait. Monte Lodoletta is always incredibly high in terms of fruit weight and tannins, but this edition from 2015 appears more integrated in terms of concentration and softer in terms of structure; it's not that the wine is more accessible. It will hold the line for years and decades to come and promises to age gracefully. This vintage is instead more fleshed out and open-knit. The bouquet peels back with thick layers of black fruit, spice, campfire embers and toasted coffee bean. It's an expensive bottle for collectors, but you get lots of bang for your buck.

This is black as pitch in the glass and, yes, there’s a light, tarry edge to the super-concentrated prune, date and currant fruit. But even more interesting are the complex notes of bitter-orange liqueur, aged balsamic, fresh roasting herbs, cinnamon, roasted chestnuts, black tea and licorice. The more you decant in advance, the more nuances will emerge. It’s full-boded with huge concentration and lots of chewy tannin that is managing to hold the fruit back for now. This needs plenty of time to develop in the bottle. Just superb. One of the greatest Dal Forno’s ever.

Dal Forno Romano Amarone della Valpolicella

Amarone differs from Valpolicella for two simple reasons.

The first concerns the duration of the drying process, which in the case of Amarone can be prolonged to three months instead of one and a half months.

The second instead refers to the age of the vines. Our company’s philosophy considers that, in order to produce Amarone, only the grapes that are harvested from vines which are older than ten years can be used. The younger vines are therefore only used in the production of Valpolicella.
Not with standing these two differences and other small variations with regards to the percentage of the different grapes used, it can be said that these two wines are almost identical, in the sense that the underlying process of their production and aging are exactly the same.

In saying this, Amarone can be distinguished from its smaller brother by its strength and elegance.

Undoubtedly the complexity of this wine is superior in respect to that of Valpolicella and has its place in the category of wines that are usually defined as “meditation wines”.

Subtle aromatic hints, that range from black cherry, blueberry to chocolate, anticipate the opulent expression of mature fruit that flows into the mouth with inadvertent persistence. Nuances of truffle, tobacco and new leather wrap around the finish.

It is a wine with undiscovered potential, but whose depth leaves one hoping that it has a very long development ahead of it.
