History and terroir
The “Vins de Pays” are the outcome of special legislation that regulates them strictly in terms of area, grape varieties and vinification. Chardonnay, which tends to be at its best in Burgundy, has become well established in the Pays d'Oc, flourishing in the stony limestone soils under the intense summer sun that concentrates the life force of the wine in the grape.
