Georges Duboeuf Syrah Rose (VDF D'OC)

History and terroir 

In 1951, at the age of eighteen, Georges Duboeuf began delivering wine to local restaurants on his bicycle. Since then he has become one of the most important and influential wine producers in France. Often described as the King of Beaujolais, Duboeuf is also its most tireless ambassador, though his range now extends far beyond that region. Duboeuf still tastes hundreds of wines each day, and marshals his enormous production almost single-handed. While flower-label Beaujolais remains his empire’s most recognisable creation, one must remember he is a merchant as well as a winemaker: the company distributes numerous high-quality domaine wines not only from Beaujolais, but also white burgundies, Vins de Pays, and even a Côtes-du-Rhône.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant appearance with a lovely rose colour. Intense and fine white fruit aromas of peach livened up with notes of citrus fruits. Enticing in the mouth, tender, generous with an incredible freshness and a round finish.
