The Rosso Carnasciale is an intense full-bodied red wine, produced from Caberlot grape and aged for 22 months in barrique and big oak barrels. Rich and intense at nose, with scents of red berries and spices, the wine is powerful, smooth and velvety, with vigorous tannins

Vinification:
Carnasciale is also 100% Caberlot grapes! Our four distinct vineyard plots are harvested and vinified separately, and after 22 months of elevage, Bettina and I blind taste the individual barrels, together with winemakers Peter and Marco, around the table . The barrels holding wines that show a more supple style, and that don't necessarily require further aging to be appreciated, are bottled as Carnasciale in a regular 750ml format. Importantly, this is not simply a second-grade selection, or only young vines, as at the estate we work throughout the year as if there is only one wine, Il Caberlot.
