Selected for its privileged location in the upper, northeast Maipo Valley, the El Recurso (Resource) Block is a part of the El Recurso Estate. Once part of a river-bed, its alluvial soil with a loam texture, medium fertility and the presence of small, round rocks contributes to the wine’s impressive color, marked intensity and aromatic typicity. With the area´s Mediterranean climate creating slightly lower temperatures than the rest of valley, and very dry summers, there is an endless potential for Cabernet Sauvignon vines here.

This wine goes well with all kinds of red meats, pâté, lamb and game included. It also is great for dishes with spiced sauces or strong condiments, Boeuf Bourguignon being the ultimate example. When pairing it with cheeses, choose dry and/or strong-flavored types such as Brie, Gorgonzola, Camembert and Cheddar.
