Selected for its location at the foothills of a transversal mountain range, the La Riconada (Corner) Block is a part of the Peumo Estate in the extreme northern sector of the prestigious Cachapoal Valley. One of the most prized origins for this once extinct French variety, ample sunlight exposure and heavy clay soils with granite on the surface allow for optimum ripeness.
This wine´s well-defined and spicy character is a good counterpart to ingredients that could be troublesome for other wines: tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, onion and garlic. All kinds of meats and vegetable stews are great pairing options. If opting for cheese, go for the yellow, medium-bodied types like Gouda, Cheddar and Provolone.
