Medium golden yellow. Pineapple, apple, mango and custard on the nose. Sweet and fruit - driven, but with lively acidity contributing a refined mouthfeel to the tropical fruit and custard flavors. Strikes me as fresher and deeper than the other Pinot Gris bottlings offered by Mann in this vintage. The three parcels used to make this wine grow on the side of the Hengst closest to Wettolshiem, which is higher up and very gravelly, partly explaining this wine's elegant personality.
