Errazuriz Estate Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon
A classic ruby-red colour and a nose that emerges with lush fruit notes of tart cherries and strawberries, accompanied by tobacco and black pepper aromas, and a subtle toasted note. The palate is well structured, with tannins that are well matched with the wine’s moderate volume, pleasing juiciness, and good acidity.

Vineyard
The grapes for our Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2011 were sourced from our vineyards in the Maipo and Aconcagua valleys. The Valle de Maipo has cool morning breezes that blow down from the mountains and moderate daytime temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen to perfection while preserving their freshness and acidity. The high daytime-night time temperature oscillation is one of the main factors responsible for the intense colour of the wines grown in this zone. The moderately fertile alluvial soils allow a perfect balance of vegetative growth and fruit load, while the stony matrix in which the vines are planted provides excellent drainage. The Valle de Aconcagua has a Mediterranean climate with moderately warm summer days and cool evening breezes that produce a daytime- night time temperature oscillation of 20°C (36°F) in the weeks before the harvest, triggering high concentrations of anthocyanins, which intensify the colour of the wines. The vineyard’s soils are mainly alluvial, formed by the Aconcagua River, and generally have very good drainage.
