"Inky purple. Pungent black and blue fruits on the powerfully scented, smoke-tinged nose. Broad, sweet and fleshy, offering intense black and blue fruit flavors and a musky licorice nuance. A peppery note adds lift and bite to the youthfully tannic finish, which lingers with very good smoky persistence. I'll bet that I'd have called this a Syrah in a blind tasting."
