A unique and provocative Syrah, with a great sense of origin. Expressive, cold climate style of Syrah, with lots of spiciness, black pepper, floral notes (violets) and red acid fruit such as raspberries and bluberries. In mouth, it is fruit concentrated, with nice acidity that enlarges the palate, juicy and fresh, with soft tobacco, mocha notes and minerality showing the maritime influence.

The grapes were hand harvested on two picking moments: May 1st and May 5th, at 24° brix. In the cellar, a carefull cluster selection was made in sorting stainless steel-vibrant table. After de-stemming, the berries were softly crushed and received in stainless steel tank at 8°C remaining during 6 days on cold maceration. Fermentation occurred at 27-28°C for 6 days with a “punching down” regime of 4 times per day. Immediately after dryness the wine was racked into new and one year used French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and aged for 14 months.
