The 100% Cabernet Sauvignon quintessence of the Maipo Valley terroir
A new addition, Escudo Rojo Origine, graces the Escudo Rojo range
as of the 2018 vintage.
It is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in a
selection of the best micro-parcels for the variety in the Maipo
Valley vineyard. A Mediterranean-style climate combined with cold
air from the Andes Mountains that cools the atmosphere at night
causes very substantial differences between daytime and night-
time temperatures. These conditions are ideal for allowing the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to ripen slowly, giving them their
complex aromas and flavours and their elegance.
