Deep and glittering red with a purple hue. The fresh, intense and fruit-forward nose reveals aromas of black berry fruit, especially blackberry and black plums as well as spicy notes of black pepper, rosemary and clove together with subtle notes of coffee and vanilla that come from the guard in wood. The soft attack leads into a mid-palate sustained by smooth and gentle tannins as the black berry fruit flavours found on the nose return alongside notes of spice. Good acidity on the long and persistent finish enhances the overall impression of freshness.
