When we are talking about wine of America, the word we always hear are Napa Valley, Opus one, or Robert Mondavi and etc. After the passing away of Robert Mondavi in 2008, the family wine business was sold. However Tim Mondavi, the successor of Robert Mondavi, starts his new wine business named “Continuum” which is well-known among Wine Guru

Today, Wine-now is honourably invited to have the exclusive interview with Tim Mondavi who intends to debut his legendary wine “Continuum 2013” in Thailand.

What is Continuum?

By the intention of his family from generation to generation, this legendary bottle “Continuum” is born from the single vineyard at Prichard Hills.

Continuum 2013

The specialty of “Continuum 2013” that none of any bottles can be replaced is made for 100th anniversary of his father, Robert Mondavi. The label is designed from silhouette of Cabernet Franc grapevine which is the most adorable for him, and the dove in the label represents Robert Mondavi. The number 1 refers to single vineyard, 40 is Tim’s winemaking experience, and 100 implies to 100th anniversary of his father.

Continuum 2013” is made of Cabernet Sauvignon 66%, Cabernet Franc 21%, Petit Verdot 9% and Merlot 4%, then fermented in cement and oak barrel, then aged in French oak barrel before bottling. The glittering garnet with violet hue colour combined with fruity and oaky note in the glass that was well prepared ahead emitted the vividly sweet and sour odor of blueberry and blackberry across the room, letting us imagine how savoury it is. It’s full bodied, powerful, silky tannic, pure, and sophisticated in its style, filled with mildly acidic and mineral flavour. Once
you taste “Continuum 2013”, you’ll understand why it is worth to spend for the bottle!

After Continuum 2013 was launched, the critics and Medias scored it in very high score. For example, 99points from Jame Suckling, 97 points from The Wine Advocate, and 94 points from Wine Spectator
